Day 1:
Istanbul
Arrive in Istanbul and met on arrival by NEW DEAL TRAVEL.
Transfer to your hotel. Check in and overnight 1.
Day 2: Istanbul (B + L)
After berakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel @ 08:30 and
visiting,
Hagia Sophia: The former
spiritual heart of the Byzantine Empire, considered to be the 8th
Wonder of the World, Hagia Sophia is now a museum.
The Blue Mosque:
Dating from the 17th century, an architectural masterpiece famed for
its exquisite blue tiles and six elegant minarets.
The Museum of Turkish and Islamic
Arts: The former palace of Ibrahim Pasha, it now exhibits
an extensive collection of nomadic art and ethnography, providing a
rich glimpse into the traditional Turkish lifestyle.
The Hippodrome: Once the site of Roman chariot racing and
Janissary uprisings, this historic square also contains an Egyptian
Obelisk, the Serpentine Column from the Temple of Apollo at Delphi
and ornamental fountain presented to the Sultan by German Emperor
Wilhelm II.
The Grand Bazaar: An
exotic maze of narrow alleys, stunning architectural details and
hundreds of shops selling a rich assortment of handmade carpets,
gold, silver, leather and other precious goods.
Topkapi Palace: The
seat of Ottoman power for three centuries and imperial residence of
the Sultans, the Palace also houses one of the world's most
extensive collections of Chinese and Japanese porcelain, religious
artifacts, and other priceless relics.
The Treasury Section of Topkapi Palace:
An exhibition of the precious personal belongings of members
of the Ottoman dynasty.
Suleymaniye Mosque: Overlooking the Golden Horn a short
distance from Sultanahmet, this mosque complex once included a soup
kitchen, hammam, caravanserai and primary school.
The Golden Horn: A
drive along the Golden Horn past Roman land walls and Byzantine
churches.

Day 3: Istanbul (B + L)
After breakfast
you will be picked up from your hotel and visiting,
After a brief visit to the
17th century Spice Bazaar*,
the second largest covered bazaar in Istanbul, we embark on a cruise
up the Bosphorus, the
legendary strait separating Europe and Asia. We cruise past the
Dolmabahce and
Beylerbeyi Palaces, wooden
19th century seafront mansions, picturesque villages and modern
pleasure palaces, disembarking at the mouth of the
Black Sea. We then drive
along the strait to the
Camlica Hill: The highest point in Istanbul, commanding a
panoramic view of the city.
Beylerbeyi Palace: We take a short drive to the 19th
century summer palace of the Sultans in the Bosphorus village of
Beylerbeyi. Completed in 1865, the palace has 24 rooms and six large
halls.
End of the tour transfer back to your hotel and overnight 3.
Day 4:
Istanbul - Gallipoli (L)
Pick up from your hotel and drive to the World War I Battlefields of
Gallipoli. Partake in a fully guided tour visiting Lone Pine &
Chunuk Bair Memorials, Anzac Cove, the Nek, Johnston's Jolly and
Anzac Museum. Check in to hotel and overnight. 4
Day 5: Troy & Pergamum Kusdasi (B)
Tours of Troy and Pergamum, continue onto your choice of Selcuk or
Kusadasi. Visit the ancient city of Troy, famous for the legendary
Trojan horse from the times of Beautiful Helen, Queen of Sparta, and
Paris, the Trojan Prince. The ancient town of Pergamum was one of
the most important centres for culture and arts in its time. Now on
display is the magnificant acropolis. Drive to Kusadasi. Arrival to
Kusadasi. Check in to hotel. Overnight. 5
Day 6: Kusadasi (B)

Day 7:
Ephesus (L)
Full day tour of Ephesus & The House of Virgin Mary starts around
09:00.
First you will visit The Temple
of Artemis, which once was one of the Seven Wonders of
the ancient world. Then you will visit the world famous ancient
Greco-Roman City of Ephesus,
the most well preserved example in the world. After visiting this
impressive site, you will have a lunch break. After lunch you will
visit The House of Virgin
Mary, where it is
believed she spent her last days. This is a holy place for both
Christians and Muslims. End of the tour transfer to hotel and
overnight. 7
Day 8: Priene - Mletos - Didyma
(B + L)
You will be picked up from hotel after breakfast to depart for
Priene. This was once a
harbour city but is now located 16 km inland from the sea on the
hills of the Mykale Mountain. It has many examples of Hellenic art
and architecture. Alexander The Great lived in this city for a time.
The theater in Priene is one of the most beautiful ones from The
Hellenic World. The Athena Polias Temple was reconstructed by
Alexander The Great as a gift to the city. After Priene, you will
depart for Miletus. The ancient
city of Miletus which once was one of the biggest cities
in Anatolia, was located on the trade routes and it was for this
reason that it became very prosperous and had many colonies. Miletus
is famous for its genius philosophers and architects, such as
Thales, Anaksimandros, Anaksimenes, Hippodamos and Isidoros. Miletus
is also famous for the Faustina Baths. Lunch break after Miletus and
then visit to Didyma.
Didyma was not a city but a temple dedicated to Apollon. It was once
one of the biggest temples in the Hellenic World. It was connected
to Miletus by a holy road of 19 km. transfer back to hotel and
overnight. 8
Day 9: Pamukkale - Fethiye (B + L)
You will be picked up from hotel after the breakfast. Then driven to
Pamukkale which is
the center of natural thermal spring waters with healing properties.
Due to the chemical properties in the water, pure white colored
travertines and stepped water terraces have been created on the
mountain slope. It is for its resemblance to cotton piles that it is
called "Cotton Castle" in Turkish. Visit the travertines and the
Ancient City of Hierapolis
which has the biggest Nekropol with 1200 gravestones in Anatolia.
The sacred pool also is one of the highlights of the site. There
shallow thermal waters ripple over a wonderful scattering of ancient
roman ruins which lie beneath. Drive to Fethiye. Check in to hotel
overnight in Fethiye. 9
Day 10: BLUE CRUISE 4 DAYS 3 NIGHTS (From Fethiye to Olimpos) (B +
L )
1.Day:
Fethiye
You will picked up from hotel after breakfast and transfer to
harbour. Departure from Fethiye Harbour between 11 and 12 a.m. to
Samanlik Bay for swimming & lunch. Butterfly Valley (sea
conditions permitting) is our next stop for a swim & to visit this
natural reserve, hosting 136 kinds of different butterflies and
moths. Afterwards we cruise to Ölüdeniz (The Blue Lagoon)
again sea conditions permitting. Option for paragliding available.
Last stop of the day is St-Nicholas Island. Visit the Byzantine
ruins, swim, dinner & 1st night 10
Day 11: BLUE CRUISE (B
+ L + D)
2.Day:
Kalkan-Kas-Kekova
Around sunrise departure to Aquarium or Firnaz Bay near Kalkan for
breakfast & swimming. Cruising to Kas where we stop in the harbour
for lunch & visit of this charming fishing village. Of ancient
Antiphellos, as Kas was once known, only Lycian rock tombs &
sarcophagi and the Roman theatre are left. But the charm of the town
remains! In a bay near Kekova we stop for swimming, dinner &
the 2nd night 11
Day 12: BLUE CRUISE (B + L + D)
3.Day:
Sunken
City-Simena
Breakfast.
Departure to Sunken City of Kekova (this Lycian- Roman
archaeological site is protected, so only looking!). Simena, a
traditional Turkish fishing village with no car access and
Byzantine/Ottoman castle. In Gökkaya Bay water sports are
available. Dinner, relax in this pirates haven or party the night
away at the Smugglers Inn. 12
Day 13: BLUE CRUISE (B + L + D)
4.Day:
Myra-Demre-Olympos
After breakfast we have a look at the Pirates Cave before cruising
to Andriace harbour (lunch). Bus transfer to the
archaeological site of Myra, and to Demre for the St-Nicholas Church,
shopping and banking when requested. Bus transfer to all Tree
houses in Olympos where we arrive between 4 and 6 p.m. Check in to
top tree houses. Diner & Overnight. 13

DEVRENT
VALLEY
has various types
of fairy chimneys. Among these are those with caps, cones, mushroom
like forms pillar and pointed rocks. With the action of smaller,
secondary volcanoes and the action of rivers, wind and flood waters,
this layer of tuff has slowly but steadily been eroded to produce
the rock formations know as "fairy chimmeys". We will take a walk
through this amazing valley.
ZELVE
OPEN AIR MUSEUM
has the
most important churches in the valley. Balikli, Uzumlu, and Geyikli,
blong to the Pre Iconoclastic period. The valley was inhabited until
1952. Apart from monasteries and churches, houses, a mill, a mosque,
and several dovecotes are found in the valley.
PASABAGLARI (MONKS VALLEY)
Many fairy
chimneys with multiple stems and caps can be found here, this style
being unique to this area. A chapel dedicated to St. Simeon and a
hermit's shelter is built into one such fairy chimney with three
heads.
AVANOS
is known
for the pottery, a craft dating back to the Hittite period. The red
clay which is worked by local craftsmen comes from the residue in
the Kizilirmak river. The Kizilirmak, which divides Avanos into two,
is Anatolia's longest river.
GOREME
OPEN AIR MUSEUM
is the place where this religious education was started. You will
visit the churhcesö chapels and monasteries carved into the fairy
chimmeys from the 10th to the 13th centuries with fresgos painted on
the walls. In the 4th century three important men created a now
unity here they are the Great St. Basil, Bishop of Kayseri his
brother St Gregory of Nyssa and St. George of Nazianus.
PIGEON
VALLEY here
you will see where the Pigeons and hear of how they were used to
help the people. Some examples where to send messages and to
fertiziize the grapes. Also you will see a wonderful panoromic view.
UCHISAR CASTLE
is the
highest point in the region. The castle and its surrounds used to be
the most populated area this settlement, which resembles Ortahisar
in style. The top of the citadel provides a magnificent panorama of
the surrounding area.

Day 18: Cappadocia - Istanbul (B + L)
You will
be picked up from your hotel around 09:00 and start to visit;
KIZILCUKUR
is an isolated valley behind Urgup. It has beautiful rock formation
with some great hidden rock-carved churches. The most interesting
part of this area is the countless tracks connecting the small
villages and towns through vineyards and gardens like a spider net.
It is always possible to see villagers working in the area and
offering grapes, apples or apricots to you.
CAVUSIN:
One of the oldest settlements in the area, Cavusin is situated 2km
from Goreme, on the Göreme-Avanos road. The Church of St.John the
Baptist offers a panoramic view of the village. This church and its
paintigs date back to the 5th century, making the oldest church in
the region. It had a large courtyard which is unusual for Cappadocia,
this has been eroded away however.
HOSPITAL
MONASTRY:
One of the oldest monastries in Cappadocia.
KAYMAKLI:
Kaymakli and Derinkuyu underground cities are the two largest and
deepest of the 40 others in Cappadocia. They both have eight floors,
although not all are open to the public.
PIGEON
HOUSE:
Visit the pigeon houses and rock formations.
